Sacramento, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - DeMarcus Cousins was at his best on Wednesday, pouring in 30 points with 11 rebounds in just 22 minutes of action as his Sacramento Kings beat the Denver Nuggets for the second time this week with a 131-109 decision. Cousins shot 10-of-14 from the floor and made 10 of his 11 free throws for the Kings, winners in four straight after opening the season with a home loss to Golden State. They topped the Nuggets in Denver on Monday, 110-105. Rudy Gay continued his hot start to the season with 29 points, and Carl Landry added 18 off the bench. Randy Foyes 19 points led the way for Denver, which got 13 points and nine assists from Ty Lawson. Denvers only lead of the game came early on, when Chandlers triple made it 3-2. Ben McLemore hit two free throws and a turn-around jumper at the other end, and Sacramento led the rest of the way. Cousins nearly matched the Nuggets by himself in the first quarter, scoring 16 to their 19. Gay chipped in with nine, Darren Collison scored seven and the Kings led 40-19 after one. Denver controlled the second quarter, opening the frame on a 6-0 run and pulling back within nine points midway through after Foyes 3-pointer. Twice the deficit reached eight, but Cousins dunk seconds before halftime made it 68-54. The third quarter played out much like the first, with the Kings asserting their dominance. Two Gay free throws at 7:09 capped a 14-4 run, and the rout was back on. Sacramento led 105-72 after three and cruised with its reserves down the stretch. The New York Jets outside linebacker will make his regular-season debut Sunday against the Buffalo Bills, a month after having surgery on his fractured right ankle. Coples was listed as probable on the teams injury report Friday. "Thats probably a story in itself," coach Rex Ryan said. "A young man thats coming off surgery, what, three or four weeks ago? I dont know what to say. I dont know how hes doing it, but hes done it. "Well see what he can do." Coples hurt his ankle during the teams second preseason game against Jacksonville on Aug. 17 and had surgery to repair a hairline fracture three days later. He was originally listed as being out indefinitely, with many wondering speculating as to whether Coples would even practice before the midway point of the season. But he practiced for the first time Wednesday, and the ankle responded well this week. "Is he going to play every snap? No, hes not going to play every snap," Ryan said. "I dont anticipate that, but if he couldnt run outt there and take care of himself and be at or near 100 per cent, then he wouldnt be out there.dddddddddddd "We feel probable that hes going to play. In other words, hes playing." Coples, who led the team as a rookie last season with 5 1/2 sacks, is expected to bounce between playing outside linebacker and defensive end in Ryans defence this season. Hell provide a boost to a unit that has played well even without him through the first two games, ranking second in the league in overall defence. The only player listed as out for the Jets is rookie offensive tackle Oday Aboushi, who Ryan said dislocated a knee in practice Thursday but doesnt think its a serious injury. Wide receiver Jeremy Kerley, medically cleared after suffering a concussion in the season opener, is probable and will play. Also among those probable are: cornerback Antonio Cromartie (hip), defensive tackle Kenrick Ellis (back), wide receiver Santonio Holmes (foot), tight end Kellen Winslow Jr. (knee), and defensive linemen Sheldon Richardson (shoulder) and Muhammad Wilkerson (ankle). cheap jerseys wholesale jerseys ' ' '
