From the OG 'Neon' colourway to atmos's iconic 'Viotech' collaboration to 2001's zippered makeover, the first part of our Nike Air Max 95 retrospective highlighted 10 of the greatest AM95s to ever hit shelves. But why stop at just 10? Of all the Air Max models, the 95 may very well have the deepest bench of all, so a top 10 list can't possibly do justice to all of the takes on the Sergio Lozano—designed icon that have dropped since the shoe's 1995 debut.

Below we highlight 10 more classic AM95s in the second part of our lengthy look back at the Swoosh's Adidas ZX 750 Donna all-timer.

Decked out in pony hair, while sporting Nike Air Max 90 Mujer everything from tiger stripes, zebra stripes, and gold accents to leopard spots and green laces, 2006’s atmos-crafted ‘Animal’ pack may very well be the benchmark when it comes to creating collaborative Air Maxes. Both the pack’s Air Max 1 and Air Max 95 are genuine all-timers, which explains why the Swoosh re-partnered with the Japanese heavyweights for version 2.0 in 2018.

Of all the iconic Air Max silhouettes, the Air Max 95 still has the best stable of OG colourways. Like the ‘Neon’, ‘Comet Red’, and ‘Solar Red’ originals, the AM95’s ‘Slate’ colourway is yet another all-timer thanks to its expert colour-blocking and dusty namesake hue.

The ‘Neon’ Air Max 95 may be one of the most familiar sneaker designs to ever see the light of day, but it actually looked a bit different Nike Benassi Damen in its original form. The original prototype of the Adidas Gazelle Damen AM95 came with the ‘Neon’ colourway’s iconic accents and greyscale base, but — unlike the version that was released — sported black lining and a matching tongue. Japan’s mita paid homage to this little tidbit in 2013 by recreating the kicks, complete with a nod to the OG box on the insoles.

As far as Air Maxes go, the Air Max 95 has long been home to one of the best-ever women’s exclusives: the OG ‘Grape’ colourway. Named for its ‘Court Purple’ accents and highlighted by a splash of teal, this OG look was remixed for men with modified colour-blocking in 2010, but finally returned in its original ladies-only form with a retro in 2018.

Sneaker lovers often associated the beloved Miami Vice—inspired ‘South Beach’ look with King James’s coveted LeBron 8 from 2010, but real ‘heads know that the look was flawlessly showcased a couple Adidas Superstar Femme of years earlier by the AM95. Released in 2008, the ‘South Nike Air Max 90 Womens Beach’ Air Max 95 paired the unmistakable pink/teal combo with a predominately black look and dropped the kicks exclusively in the Miami area. The hard-to-get design was so coveted that Nike revisited the colourway with a 2015 update, but switched things up with the likes of a grey midsole and neon green Air Max units.

2018 saw Nike revisit 2008’s uber-coveted ‘Keep Rippin Stop Slippin’ Air Safari—inspired Air Max 1 with a 10th anniversary pack featuring two different AM95s. While one of those adopted that AM1’s look, it wasn’t even our favourite Air Max 95 ‘Safari’ of 2018: that award goes to size?’s colab, which features a colour palette that more closely resembles 1987’s OG Air Safari.

Arguably the highlight of the Swoosh’s Artist Series, 2006’s Air Max 95 saw the Swoosh Nike Internationalist Mujer calling upon the talents of Brooklyn-based graffiti Adidas Ultra Boost Donna artist Stash. Not only did the kicks sport Stash’s signature blue colour palette (something he and Nike would revisit with 2017’s Spiridon collaboration), but the colab was made all the better by the use of premium nubuck throughout.
