There are many theories when it comes to winning in hockey. Good teams find ways to win is one of them. Finding ways to win masks problem areas is another. Having your goaltender steal games falls in there somewhere as well. Ondrej Pavelec was brilliant against the Islanders on Thursday. Especially in the second period when he stopped 19 shots, and when the Jets killed off a penalty that carried over from the second, the game was done. Pavelec had flat out destroyed the New York Islanders will to win. The Isles had scored but 7 goals in their last 5 games, had been shut out twice this season, and - try as they may - Pavelec was in their heads, recording his 7th career shutout in a 3-0 win.
