Last years leading rusher, the Texans Arian Foster is returning to the lineup this week at Miami after sitting out Houstons Week One rout against Indianapolis. In Fosters absence, Derrick Ward and Ben Tate performed well. Ward, who ended up getting hurt, had 39 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries before Tate really got going, racking up 116 yards and a touchdown on 24 carries. Foster, who accumulated 2230 yards from scrimmage and 18 touchdowns last season has been practicing all week, giving every indication that hes ready to take on Miamis defence. The Dolphins did allow 106 rushing yards, at a 4.8 yards per carry clip, against New England in Week One, but the Dolphins did limit opponents to 3.6 yards per carry, fourth-best in the league, so Foster isnt coming back into an easy matchup. Texans WR Kevin Walter is also expected to be out, due to a shoulder injury, making Jacoby Jones a more attractive commodity as he moves into the starting lineup. Considering Miamis strong run defence and porous pass defence, the circumstances may be right for Texans QB Matt Schaub, and his receivers, to have a big game. INJURIES- Cowboys WR Dez Bryant is questionable for this weeks game against San Francisco due to a quad injury suffered in Week One. If Bryant ends up unable to play, WR Miles Austin and TE Jason Witten will be the primary targets in the Dallas offence, but Kevin Ogletree could get a chance as a starting receiver. Ogletree is not really worth a pickup just yet, but worth keeping an eye on. - With Seahawks WR Sidney Rice still likely out with a shoulder injury, look to other options in the Seahawks passing game. The challenge is figuring out which one since Mike Williams, Ben Obomanu, Doug Baldwin and Golden Tate all were targeted five or six times in Week One. Williams is the natural first choice and while Baldwin was the most successful against San Francisco (four catches, 83 yards), Obomanu may hold a slight edge heading into this weeks game at Pittsburgh. - Jets WR Santonio Holmes is questionable with a knee injury. If he cant go, WR Plaxico Burress and TE Dustin Keller may have more value this week against Jacksonville. - Jacksonville TE Marcedes Lewis is listed as doubtful with a calf injury, while the Jags will also be without a pair of defensive starters, DE Aaron Kampman and CB Derek Cox. In general, then, the Jets have a more favourable matchup without Kampman there to rush Mark Sanchez and with a backup, possibly even former Jet Dwight Lowery, filling in for Cox on the corner. - Raiders wide receivers Jacoby Ford and Louis Murphy are listed as out, while Darrius Heyward-Bey is questionable against the Bills this week. Bills CB Terrence McGee is also out. - Kansas City SS Eric Berry was lost for the season with a knee injury against Buffalo, leaving veteran Jon McGraw to step into the starting lineup. Facing the Lions this week, TE Brandon Pettigrew may benefit from the Chiefs loss of one of their defensive playmakers. MATCHUPS- With the Colts missing linebackers Gary Brackett and Ernie Sims, it does seem like a favourable matchup for Browns RB Peyton Hillis. - Kansas City RB Jamaal Charles wasnt terribly effective against the Bills and going up against the Lions, a team that boasts one of the leagues best defensive lines and held Tampa Bay to 56 yards rushing in the opener. It would be drastic to not start Charles, but this doesnt appear to be an ideal matchup for him either. - The Dallas secondary will be missing corners Terence Newman and Orlando Scandrick, while the 49ers could be without WR Michael Crabtree, whose foot troubled him in Week One. Additionally, the Dallas run defence may prove difficult for Frank Gore to get loose against. The net result is that 49ers WR Braylon Edwards may be an appealing target. - Denver had better bring renewed vigor to their dun defence, after allowing 190 yards on the ground against Oakland, or else Cedric Benson could be in a big game. - As if Redskins QB Rex Grossmans 305 yards passing in Week One wasnt surprise enough, hes going up against Arizonas depleted secondary, a unit that surrendered 422 yards passing to Cam Newton last week. - Considering the Raiders depleted receiving corps, and the fact that the Bills allowed 105 yards passing against the Chiefs, it doesnt figure to be a good day for Raiders QB Jason Campbell. SEATTLE -- For the second straight outing, Seattle Mariners starter Kevin Millwood was unable to hold onto a lead in a game Seattle would go on to lose. The Mariners rallied from a 2-0 deficit to take a 4-2 lead over the Chicago White Sox on Sunday afternoon. But the lead wouldnt hold as the White Sox capitalized on Millwoods (0-1) mistakes in the sixth inning to retake the lead and earn a series sweep over the Mariners with a 7-4 victory. "It came down to the fact that when I need to make a pitch to get out of an inning or get out of a jam, I wasnt able to do it," Millwood said. "I felt good, felt my stuff was good, I just didnt make pitches when I needed to." In his previous start, the Mariners jumped out to a 8-1 lead against Cleveland before the Indians scored seven runs off Millwood to tie the game. Seattle would go on to lose 9-8 to the Indians. "Panic is definitely not the answer," Millwood said of Seattles losing streak. "Were a pitch here and there from holding teams down. Its one of those things youve got to get through. Hopefully there will be more good stretches than bad." Adam Dunn drew a leadoff walk to start the sixth inning. Paul Konerko singled and after a groundout, Alex Rios tripled to the wall in right-centre field that evened the game at 4. A sacrifice fly by Kosuke Fukudome scored Rios from third and gave the White Sox a lead they wouldnt relinquish. Rios and Fukudome added RBI singles in the eighth against Tom Wilhelmsen. "That was a big one," manager Eric Wedge said. "But thats where we have to come right back and go get them. When you give it up like that you have to come right back and answer. We didnt do that." A day after Phil Humber pitched a perfect game for the White Sox, John Danks (22-2) went six innings for the win.dddddddddddd Hector Santiago pitched a scoreless ninth for his fifth save of the season, closing out Chicagos 19th victory in its last 22 games against the Mariners and second straight sweep in Seattle. The White Sox bullpen combined for three innings of work, allowing just one hit and striking out five. "They have some good lefties in their pen that really make it rough," second baseman Dustin Ackley said. "You might get one pitch to hit and if you miss it, it is tough from there on out." The White Sox took a 2-0 lead in the third on a double by Alexei Ramirez that left fielder Casper Wells misplayed for an error, and an RBI single by Dunn. Seattle tied it in the bottom half. Chone Figgins led off with a walk and Ichiro Suzuki singled, setting up an RBI single by Jesus Montero and an RBI double by Alex Liddi. Fukudome walked in the fourth and moved up on a wild pitch, but was thrown out at the plate by Suzuki on Brent Morels single to right field. Miguel Olivo and Wells hit consecutive singles to lead off the fourth. With Brendan Ryan attempting to bunt, the infield was pulled up when Danks tried a pickoff throw at first that Dunn never saw coming. Danks error allowed Olivo to score and Dustin Ackley drove in a run with a grounder for a 4-2 lead. NOTES: Seattle 1B Justin Smoak got a scheduled day off and Liddi started in his place. ...
